2To receive the $20 credit from American Express Serve, you must (i) successfully sign up for a new American Express Serve Account, (ii) activate your American Express Serve Card, (iii) select and successfully enroll in Direct Deposit for your 2013 1040 federal income tax refund with your American Express Serve Account information, (iv) file your 2013 federal 1040 income tax return by April 15, 2014, and (v) receive your 2013 1040 federal income tax refund by Direct Deposit into your American Express Serve Account by May 31, 2014. A qualifying Direct Deposit is defined as an electronic deposit of a 2013 1040 income tax refund by the United States Treasury into your American Express Serve Account. In the case of a joint tax return, the first name and social security number associated with the federal 1040 income tax refund must match the name and social security number on the American Express Serve Account receiving the Direct Deposit. Refund anticipation loans or other similar providers and products do not qualify for the promotion. 6Roadside Assistance Hotline is a 24-hour dispatch hotline that can send a tow operator or locksmith to assist in an emergency situation. While Roadside Assistance Hotline is available at no additional charge, the Card Member will be charged for any services or goods provided. Tow operator or locksmith can provide the following services: towing, winching, jump starts, flat tire change when Card Member has a workable spare, lockout service when key is in vehicle and delivery of up to 2 gallons of fuel. Services are available when traveling within the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands and only when Card Member is present with the eligible vehicle. This product does not cover some vehicles, e.g. rental vehicles, motorcycles, taxicabs, unlicensed vehicles, tractors and trucks over 10,000 lbs gross vehicle weight.
