Florida Southern College, 2731 Nevada Road, Lakeland, FL 33803-3254
U.S.A. I have special interest in visual observations. My meteor interest
goes all the way back to the Leonid Shower in 1966. Ever since, I
have been watching the Leonids, Orionids, Taurids, Perseids, Geminids,
and July Aquarids with some regularity, and others (such as the Quadrantids
and April Lyrids) not so regularly. I observe less now than when
I was younger, mostly due to time and kid constraints. I was a member
of the American Meteor Society in the early 1970s and received almost all
the issues of Meteor News that were printed. Activities include tournament
chess since 1973 and have been an "Expert" since 1988. I teach chess
at the grade school where my children attend. I have coached baseball
and soccer as well (but my baseball skills far outweigh my soccer skills!).
I am currently writing a book about naked eye meteor observing. We'll
see how that goes (I currently have about 100 pages). I also do a
little economics. Associate Professor of Business and Economics;
