Announcing our 29th Season (2008-2009)

She Stoops to Conquer by Oliver Goldsmith
Lady Windermere's Fan by Oscar Wilde
The Two Noble Kinsmen
by John Fletcher and William Shakespeare
The Seagull by Anton Chekhov

We are pleased to announce that, beginning with John Gabriel Borkman, we are once again handling all ticketing ourselves!! Our box office will be located in the hallway leading to the Carsen Theatre. You can also purchase tickets online by clicking on the "Reservations" link, above, or call us at (303) 442-1415.

A generous patron has donated a pair of season tickets for the 2008-2009 season. These tickets are to be provided to seniors or students who could not otherwise afford regular performances.

The Upstart Crow faces a serious finacial challenge for 2008. Our rent at the Dairy went up 36% as of 1 January 2008 (about $700 per show). The Crow’s fiscal year budget was in place for the 2007-2008 season when this news was presented to us. The rental quandary is both current and continuing.

In short, we were strapped before and now it's worse. We told you what our ticket prices would be at the beginning of the season and we stand by what we say - there will be no price increase until next season. We know that a fair number of our audience are on limited budgets; we will probably lose many of you when we are forced to raise prices. We ask those of you who are able to consider a tax-deductable gift to help us through this time.

You may give on-line by clicking the Make a Donation link, above. The Upstart Crow donation page is secure, offers the ease of an on-line gift, and the gift goes directly into our bank account.

Otherwise please send a check to:
The Upstart Crow
2131 Arapahoe Avenue, Unit A
Boulder, Colorado 80302-7698

We could also use the assistance of someone experienced in applying for grants for non-profit organizations. If we can answer your questions or chat with you, please call (303)442-1415 or email us at info@theupstartcrow.org.

To assist the hearing impaired we are now using an Assistive Listening system for our shows. An array of microphones picks up all the sound of the show, amplify it, and transmit it wirelessly to comfortable, over-the-ear headsets. These headsets are fully compatible with hearing aids and simple to use. However, we only have four headsets so click on the "Reservations" link, above, or call us at (303) 442-1415 to reserve yours.

Remember, we never share our mailing list with anyone - ever!

Donations are greatly appreciated. Your gift helps us produce the plays you enjoy in
their uncut version. Our costs have greatly increased mid-season and will be even higher next season. Right now, we especially need help with our program to provide
free tickets for Boulder County students.

After some technical difficulties, we can again accept online donations via our secure server.
Please visit our revised Donations Page to contribute to Boulder's Upstart Crow.
