Saint James College's Institute for International Strategic Policy and Security Studies' mission is to educate the next generation of policy, strategic and security professionals with a truly global theoretical and pragmatic focus.

 

         

PROGRAM SUMMARY: Saint James College’s Institute for International Strategic Policy and Security Studies offers students from around the globe a truly unique integrative approach.

 

 

Coverage of multiple areas or specific concentrations, includes:

 

  •  Political, Governmental, and International Policy Studies;
  •  International, Corporate Strategic (Planning), Business Continuity

 and Threat – Risk Assessment Studies;

  •  Security and Conflict / Crises Analysis and Resolution Studies;
  •  Engineering Peaceful Communities – Peace, Mediation and

         Reconciliation Transformation Studies;

  •  National Security, Evaluation of and Protection against the Global

     Terrorist Threats and Critical Infrastructures Analysis.

The Dean of this academic Institute is Professor David Attard, Ph.D who is an international expert in Policy and Strategic studies and is professionally trained in Strategic Organisational and Security Management, Crises Analysis and Response.

 

Professor Attard has for a number of years worked as a government strategy and policy head in Malta and is also a regular participant as a security policy expert assisting in the development of international maritime security policies and security within the European Union and European Seaport Organisations in Brussels, Belgium. His academic background includes a B.Ed (Hons.) from the University of Malta and an MBA in General and Strategic Management from the Maastricht School of Management (MSM) – Netherlands.

A multidisciplinary scholar and professional, Dean Attard, is also a fully trained and qualified psychotherapist and supervisor from the Netherlands Logotherapy Institute where he majored in conflict, crises resolution techniques and multi-factorial analysis of human problems. He also possesses a European Certificate in Psychotherapy (ECP), a Master of Social Work degree and a Summa Cum Laude Ph.D. in Philosophy.

 

David is the author of: “'Clinically Informed Philosophical Practice and Analysis' As A Transdiscliplinary Approach For Transforming Human Suffering: An Integrative And Applied Philosophy Methodology" and has written a number of articles on philosophical, political, social issues and crisis resolution approaches.  He is currently working on a number of writing projects including an upcoming book.  David is the Professor for Philosophy and Human Studies programs (Political, Social and Applied Philosophy) at Saint James College.

Students may register from any country and complete certificate programmes, Board Certification, bachelors, masters, and doctoral studies online
