An assortment of different metals have been worked by miners throughout Britain. Many metal mines can trace their history back to the Roman occupation of Britain - or even earlier.
Sadly very few metal mines are still working, but they have left some interesting remains.
Take your pick from one of the 3 tunnels in front of you ...
