Training
Success
Wednesday night SRT training sessions finally came together for new Club
members Andy, Emma, Natasha & Jason when they managed the descent to
the 40 yard level at Snailbeach recently - hopefully their first of many
such trips.

Above: Andy & Emma examine mining
artefacts on the 40yard level.
Below: Jason & Natasha beside the 40yard level
trucks. Pictures: Kelvin Lake - I.A.Recordings.

The descent to the 40 requires a number of skills and techniques
which are covered during Wednesday night training. Apart from being able
to abseil and prussik, you need to be competent in passing deviations,
re-belays and (just in case) be able to do change-overs.
