to all sorts of red, scaly,

a grouping of
diseases within a family. It is common all over the world and can occur
at anytime,
but is most common in infants and young adults. Eczema can appear anywhere
on the
body, but quite often appears as large infected patches on the insides
of the elbows
and knees. Also Eczema is commonly found on the face and wrists
Eczema Statistics:
According to the American Academy of Dermatology, almost 8 million people
in the
U.S. alone suffer from Eczema. It affects about ten percent of infants
and three percent
of the population. Eczema is a common disease all over the world.
What Causes Eczema ?
Eczema can be caused by different factors, but most of the time it is
an allergic reaction
to external contact with some irritants, or by ingesting certain foods.
Examples of Eczema
caused by external contact could be detergents, chemicals, certain fabrics,
rugs, solvents,
cleaning substances, latex materials such as gloves, even allergens,
or irritants found in
water. Other allergies like Asthma, or Hay Fever, can also cause Eczema.
Almost 10
percent of Eczema cases are caused by foods, such as cow's milk, eggs,
peanuts, certain
sea foods, or even by inhaling airborne elements like dust, pollen,
molds, etc... Stress is
another factor that could trigger Eczema symptoms. Even if all these
factors are
eliminated long lasting relief is not guaranteed.
How Can You Tell If you Have Eczema?
You may identify Eczema by the symptoms described above, or performing some
tests
with your physician.

Traditional treatments may include Coal Tar products, that are messy and
can leave
stains on clothes or skin. Moreover, most of these products have strong
odor. Oral

or even
Creams or Ointmentsbased on Cortisone, should not be used for a long period
