Queen Page

"Can't teach an old dog new tricks," or so the saying goes. Well, not true in my case. I don't recall exactly what album did it, but I started liking Queen quite a lot. Unfortunately for me, I did this just before Freddie Mercury (their lead singer, and, to quote at least one music critic, "the last rock virtuoso") died from AIDS-related complications. I will never get to see, live, the grandeur that was Queen in their heydey. But their music still stands strong, with both tunes to be enjoyed, and songs with deeper meaning. Some of my favorites are:

"Bohemian Rhapsody" - A Night at the Opera (can you believe I didn't like this the first time I heard it?)
"Machines World" - The Works
"One Vision" - It's a Kind of Magic
"Princes of the Universe" - It's a Kind of Magic
"Don't Try Suicide" -
"(Summer of '39 or something like that, have to check)" - A Night at the Opera
"The Prophet" - A Night at the Opera

And many more. Favorite Album - A Night at the Opera
- Granted, I don't have many albums of theirs outside of the greatest hits CD's, but this is a good album, with music that flows well together.
