Andrew Rutledge #6

Born: 4/25/69, Mahopac NY. College: Grinnell Height: 6' 4" Weight: 175 lbs.

Early History: Andrew was first exposed to Ultimate at Powell House with fellow RAGE player Will Heyman.

College Career: Arriving at Grinnell College in '87 and finding no Ultimate Andrew started a team by convincing friends to drive to Minnesota to scrimedge perennial power house Carleton College. Although those forays usually ended in loses the Grinelephants are now a strong Ultimate tradition. In his fifth year of eligibility Andrew played with Iowa.

Club Career: Due to the lack of club teams in De Moines, Andrew played with Iowa in the falls of '92-'94. Despite moving to Philadelphia the summer of '95 Andrew was not discovered in time for the '95 season and settled for PADA Fall League. After that it didn't take long before his combination of high hands and low airbounce was noticed.

While not playing Ultimate: Teaches fourth grade at Abbington Friends School
