College Career:Paul started his freshman year at Drew. At spring regionals, a team of nine pulled two upsets and finished in the top forty in the country. When 80% of the team graduated, Paul rose to a leadership position and began to develop the defensive skills that put him where he is now. He led the spirited, if not particularly talented, Drew squad for three seasons. His senior year, in a game game against Columbia, he was responsible for throwing or catching fifteen of the team's 17 goals. He graduated in the spring of '94, but not before Drew returned to regionals one more time.
Club Career: After graduating Paul decided his skills needed more work, and joined the newly formed Philadelphia team, Them, later Matter Baby. He spent a year with the team as it made strong showings at Regionals and Easterns. He joined RAGE after the spring of '95 for Club Worlds in Street, England. Again he decided he wasn't ready and left the team before the fall to take the season off. Rediscovering his intensity playing PADA fall league and picking up with Humphrey Bogus at Sectionals, he rejoined RAGE in the spring of '96.
