Thank you for Viewing AMCA Scholars In Touch!
Scholars, "We'd Like To Know About You!"

Just leave a greeting!

Each year AMCA Music Scholarships are awarded to students. If you are an AMCA Scholarship Winner you are a special person to the member of AMCA. It would be nice to know how life is going for you and to know if you accomplished some of your intended musical goals. I hope you will make an entry for us!

Topic: Keepin in Touch!
Comments: This semester has been filled with rehearsals, performances, obligations and of course, school work. I have kept myself busy with my first taste of vocal pedagogy, an introduction to conducting, the Central Michigan University Chamber Singers, the Sigma Alpha Iota International Women's Music Fraternity, and On The Rox (an eleven piece all female a cappella group). I also learned to play the cello, violin, bass, and viola somewhere in the mist of all that FUN. I've performed in many concerts at Central Michigan University and solo competitions yet it's hard for me to believe that I've already been in college for two and a half years. I've been able to have so many opportunities at Central Michigan University and am thankful for the support you have all given me in the past. I hope all of you have a great 2004!

Topic: A quick hello!
Comments: What a good idea to create a comments page for past scholarship winners! Thank you for your support for the past 2 years, it has surely been a blessing. I'm currently finishing my sophomore year at Central Michigan University. My 18 credit hours have kept me very busy but being able to graduate a year earlier is worth the extra work. After exams this next week, I cannot wait to begin my first experience as a choir director for a summer camp for underprivledged children. I'll be a good start to see what I'm getting myself into. Thanks again and please be in touch!
