Thanks for being here!

Topic: Joseph M. Martin's Winggs of Your Love
Comments: Can you please provide some information on this song? When was it written? What inspired the song? It speaks beautifully to a soul in doubt or crisis. My church choir is performing it this Sunday, and I chose it to provide some background.

Thank you.
Sincerely,
Jane Witter

Comments: Bonjour,

Topic: Purchasing "Grace" by Mark Hayes
Comments: Erica,

I'll tell you my "fastest" way of finding/purchasing any piece of music.
1- Go the the AMCA Music Page
2- Click on "Music Resources"
3- Click on "A Place To Order"
4- Click on "Try a PEPPER search..."
5- Type in the Title of the composition: "Grace"
6- You will be presented with all of the voicing of "Grace" by Mark Hayes
7- Go through the ordering process and the music will be delivered the address you enter. You can use a credit card to pay for the music or set up a school, personal, or church account with them.

That has been my way of ordering music for many years. JW PEPPER is a very reputible music dealer and if they don't have the title of a composition in their data base, just email them and, if the composition is available, they will get it for you. It is a terrific service.

A recording is something else again - Don may have a recording reference and I hope he answers you. I used to look in the Schwann Record Catalog for recordings. You can sign up for a trial membership. Small choral pieces are many times not listed here. I could not find a recording of this selection in Schwann.

Good luck on a recording....

Topic: Grace
Comments: I was wondering if you knew of a place to get a recording of "Grace"
by Mark Hayes. I just heard if for the first time this weekend and
have been looking for it since then. I'm so glad I found the song on
your site!!!

Don, I received an email from Ron Nelson's wife Suzann. You may recall, you and I spoke briefly in Kalamazoo regarding Ron's composition, The River. Suzann will be sending you sheet music and a tape for review. Warm Regards, Jim

I just completed reading all your reviews. They are very well done. Please keep up the great work. We need this type of information in order to find fun and callenging "new" songs to sing. My son, Chris, must have been at some of the same readings you were at. He agrees with your conclusions. He will also be using "We are the men" as a "fun" piece for the guys in his mixed voice High School concert choir.
Thanks Again,
Bob Russell

Our conductor is one-year new to the male chorus (but with an extensive SATB background) and is finding your reviews very, very helpful as she explores publishers lists to find what is available in male voice arrangements. Thanks, Don not only are your reviews appreciated, but making them immediately available on the web site rather than our having to wait until an AMCA mtg or for a Chorister to be published gives them that much more importance as we plan our repertoire in the early weekss of the season.

Thanks Don for your most recent reviews; I have printed them and will forward them to our director. Keep up the good work.

How about a place to directly feedback to Don on his reviews for AMCA... or to let him know about a piece of music that you have discovered... or to just say "HI DON!"
