Reciprocity is fourteen minutes of hilarious, quality dark comedy from Crewless Productions. Without giving away too much of the story, an underachieving twenty-something male and his young female cousin blast each other with, er, reciprocal insults and attacks, until things get somewhat - out of hand. Several scenes, including the ending sequence, are laugh-out-loud funny.
Chuck Hartsell wrote, directed and co-edited this excellent short film. Director of Photography Rick Snyder has done a killer job with the camera on this project. Michael Shelton gives an outstanding performance as Jack, the older of the two rivals, and Katarina Cole's performance as the young cousin, Rachel, is nothing short of awesome.
I am incredibly impressed with both of the films that I've seen from Crewless Productions. The vision, style and dedication to quality by Chuck Hartsell and Chance Shirley (who produced and co-edited), along with their attention to detail and innate sense of what works - and what doesn't - has produced a quality short film that, quite simply, blew me away. See if you can find the copy of Sun-Tzi's The Art of Warfare onscreen while watching this one. Remember these guys names, and that you heard them here first.
