I loved The Miracle of the Cards!! It was such a heartwarming movie and since it was based on a true story - it's now one of my favorites. In an age when we all need to see less violence and more of God’s love through his people, this movie reveals that message. Craig’s mother became the driving force behind the goal of achieving the world-record for receiving cards, to give Craig a dream to hold onto, and to show him that people all over the world cared about him and were praying for him. His mother and the hospital joined forces and requested people to send cards to this child who initially was only given days to life because of a brain tumor.

This movie also portrayed some of the struggles that families go through when one has a seriously ill child: how the other sibling is affected and how the parents don’t always agree on treatment options and what is actually best for the child. It did a good job of showing how the different family members responded to the stress and pressures of terminal illness close to home, and how their relationships changed and eventually grew.
