We live in North Carolina. It is a beautiful and quality place to live. Unfortunately, the Raleigh/Durham area is suffering growing pains from rapid growth, poor planning, over utilization and inadequate infrastructure. I am a computer programmer/analyst and have worked fulltime with information technology since 1982 (when it used to be called data processing). My first computer job was with Dyatron Corporation (now SunGard) in Birmingham, Alabama on an Amdahl 470 mainframe. I worked for more than ten years for Time-Warner Cable as a system support analyst and data processing supervisor. Since 1994 I have been working as a programmer/analyst on AS/400 systems, primarily using COBOL/400. I did a lot of PC programming and database development and support while at Time-Warner, so I have a broad background in programming and the industry as a whole. I enjoy my work, which makes it a little easier to keep up with the rapid pace of change in my industry. I also design and support quite a few websites using HTML, CSS, PHP and MySQL. Learning is an adventure that never ends! I have a wide range of interests, as you'll see as you continue to explore our web site. We are a Christian family. We trust in our Lord Jesus Christ and praise God for His love, mercy and the many blessings He has provided.
