Victor, a descendant of Spanish and Guarani Indians, was born to a family of musicians from Paraguay. He discovered his love for music by the age of seven after his father gave him a guitar. At the age of 10, Victor began to learn the skill of playing the Paraguayan harp. After many years of study and practice, on both the harp and with vocals, he became a well-known name in his own country. Eventually his popularity allowed him to tour and perform in other countries, including Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Switzerland, Italy, Austria, and Germany. His style of music is influenced by a combination of Flamenco, Gypsy, Brazilian, Middle Eastern, African, Pop, and Dance.
In 1997 he founded the group "Paye" with his brother, which performed throughout south Florida. In 2000, their first instrumental CD, "Walking on the Wind", was released, which was soon followed by a vocal release, "Baila Morena."
Victor now composes, produces and performs his original music with his own group, "Victor Espinola and His Show Band." His latest 2 CDs are "Forbidden Angel" and "Solo Harp."
The Ethnicity tour was Victor's first with Yanni. He hopes to continue to share and spread his style of music to many cultures around the world.
