Samvel Yervinyan was born in Armenia, on January 25, 1966. At the age of seven he began studying at the Spenderian Music School under the tutoring of Maestero Armen Minasian. He showed great promise as a violinist and a composer. He participated in quite a few competitions and won all the first place prizes in his age group, becoming a soloist at the age of 14. On his graduation day, in 1980, he played Henry Vietan's 2nd concert and received a standing ovation from all the faculty members. He was asked to continue his studies at Tchaikovsky's Music Conservatory. In 1993 he earned his PhD from Komitas State Conservatory in Armenia. Samvel has performed all over the world - Paris, Berlin, London, Rio,
Sydney and L.A. He's extremely well known within the Armenian culture,
and has been featured on PARS worldwide television broadcasting. Samvel
is also a composer, and has released a total of eight CDs.
