4/29/08: As you may have heard, Yanni is branching out into the vocal arena, collaborating with producer Ric Wake and four songwriters/singers in a project called "Voices". From the samples I've heard so far on his site, the songs range from awful to great. There's no word yet on an official release date for the "Voices" albums, although a tour is taking place later this year and into next. Yanni has, in the process, dropped all mention of his instrumental music from his site, as well as all the musician information. I have, therefore, updated this site with the most recent band members, including adding YouTube clips for many of them. There is also talk of removing the message board at Yanni's site, so feel free to post your thoughts on the new music here....

11/16/04:  Karen Briggs, Yanni's longtime and popular violinist, will not be a part of the 2004/2005 tour, and, from all accounts, has left the Yanni organization. The official statement:

Yanni said: "It has been great to play with Karen over the last fifteen years. She is an incredibly talented and gifted performer and friend and we wish Karen every success in all her future endeavors. We will all miss her."

In addition, Yanni's longtime bass guitarist, Ric Fierabracci, who did not accompany Yanni on the second half of the last tour, has parted ways with Yanni as well.

Interesting, to say the least...
