Ronald Craig Kennedy


With profound sadness, we announce the passing of our husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend to all, RONALD CRAIG KENNEDY, on Sunday, April 19, 2009. He was born in Houston on November 14, 1943 to Willie and Christine Kennedy. He graduated from Jesse Jones High School in 1962, the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Science in 1969, and completed the Rice University Executive Business Program. He was employed as a Product Sales Manager for Daniel Valve Company/SPX. He served his community as a Cy-Fair ISD school board member for 15 years, CFSA coach, volunteer firefighter, volunteer paramedic for HARRIS County ESD, and member of the State Bar of Texas Grievance Committee. However, his world revolved around his family and friends which he loved and cherished with his whole being. He is survived by his devoted wife and best friend, Linda Kennedy, his daughter Holly Spinks and her husband James, his son Derek Kennedy and his wife Tia, and his daughter Heather Kennedy. He was passionate about his grandchildren, Jameson Spinks and Connor and Ashlyn Kennedy. He is also survived by his brother Robert Kennedy and his wife Brenda, his sister Suzanne Shumate and numerous cousins, nephews and nieces. A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2009 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Klein Funeral Home Champion Forest. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 24, 2009 in the Chapel of Klein Funeral Home Champion Forest. Interment will follow in Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to the Cy-Fair Educational Foundation. He will be loved and missed always.
