Mollie Anne Bauhof Lanahan

 

 

 

MOLLIE ANNE BAUHOF LANAHAN passed away peacefully at her home at the Rosemont Assisted Living Community of Clear Lake on Friday, March 19, 2004, surrounded by family and Rosemont friends. She entered heaven into the welcoming arms of her Savior Jesus Christ. She was born on December 3, 1908 in Copperas Cove, Texas. She and her family moved to Houston when she was three years old. At an early age she became a devoted member of Magnolia Christian Church of Houston. She was committed to her service and friends in the Willing Workers Sunday School class. For many years she enjoyed the fellowship at Garden Villas United Methodist Church and the Friendship Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her beloved Johnny - husband John William Lanahan, parents Joseph and Emma Bauhof and sister Elnora Guinn. Mollie will be greatly missed by her daughters and sons-in-law Joan and Norman Coe of Houston, Carolyn and Les King of Kingwood; grandchildren Catherine Coe Williams and husband Rolfe, Carrie Coe Hunt and husband Jeff, Jeff King and wife Joanna, Ginifer King and fiancé Jason; great grandchildren Cameron and Christian Williams, Collin, Elaine and Ashlynn Hunt, Avery and Carly King; nephew Don Guinn and niece Karen Guinn Palmer and many other relatives and friends. Mollie began her career at Houston City Hall where she worked for many years. She was later employed with H.I.S.D. as clerk at Burnet and Bastian Elementary schools and also at the H.I.S.D. Administration building. She worked for many years with the Garden Villas precinct #134 of Harris County where her husband was Preciding Judge from 1958-1985. She was the alternate precinct Judge from 1958-2002 when she moved to the Rosemont after 51 years in Garden Villas. Visitation will be held from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 23, 2004 at the Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 24, 2004, Forest Park Lawndale Main Chapel. Interment will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Dr. Rolfe Williams, Jeff Hunt, Jeff King, Cameron Williams, Collin Hunt, James Coe, Ray Lister and Burton Hammons; Honorary Pallbearers will be Donald Guinn and Larry Reed. Immediately following the service, a reception will be held at the Rosemont of Clear Lake, 14101 Bay Pointe Court, off Clear Lake City Blvd. For those desiring memorials, donations may be made to the Rosemont Assisted Living of Clear Lake, American Cancer Society or Armand Bayou Nature Center.
