MARY
MCKINNEY PRICKETT "NANNIE" began her journey through life in Northern
Georgia on December 28, 1914 and completed her journey on February 3, 2008. The
McKinney family arrived in Texas from Georgia on New Years's day 1939 settling
first in Westfield, Texas and later moving to Houston. During the war years
Mary delivered milk for the Carnation Milk Co. in the early 1950's Mary was
employed by University State Bank "in the Rice Village", currently
The IBC Bank. Mary held many different positions during the years, retiring on
1990 from a drive-in teller's position at the age of 75. Mary was predeceased
by husbands, H.S. McKinney and Joseph R. Prickett. She leaves behind to cherish
her memory daughter Kathrine McCoy Cronover; granddaughter Linda McCoy Dunnam,
great-grandson Justin Kyle Dunnam, Justin's father and step-mother Roy and
Jeanette Dunnam; son Thomas F. McKinney, wife RuthAnne and daughter Heather. Vera
McKinney, mother of Thomas's children Terry McKinney and wife Shanon, children
Blake and Kyle; daughter Becky McKinney and partner Joe Pachal and son Hunter.
Stepchildren Mary Ann Schoen and Scott Prickett. Special thanks to Vera Lee
McKinney for her many years of love and devotion and also a thank you to the
staff of Above and Beyond Assisted Living in Conroe and Lighthouse Hospice for
their caring and patience during our time of need and sorrow. Family visitation
will be held Wednesday Feb. 6th from 4:00 P. M. until 6:30 P.M.at Earthman
Resthaven 13102 North Freeway. A graveside service will follow on Thursday
10:00 A.M. in the cemetery.
