CHRISTINE KENNEDY (84) passed away December
30, 2002 in Houston, Texas. She was born August 31, 1918 in Daingerfield,
Texas to John Winfield Crump and Rena Daisy Wilson Crump. She was a graduate
of Confederate Memorial Nursing School in Shreveport, Louisiana. Mrs. Kennedy
was employed 30 years as a nurse first at Memorial Hospital Downtown, then at
The Methodist Hospital. She served as Supervisor of E.R. and OB-GYN at
Methodist Hospital until retirement in 1983. She was a long time member of
Park Place Methodist Church, the UMW at Park Place Methodist and Fidelis
Sunday School Class. She is preceded in death by her husband, Willie A.
Kennedy. She is survived by sons and their wives, Ronald C. and Linda Kennedy
of The Woodlands, Texas. Robert W. and Brenda Kennedy of Pearland, Texas., a
daughter and her husband Suzanne and James Shumate of Spring, Texas. These
grandchildren, James and Holly Spinks of Corinth, Texas, Derek and Tia
Kennedy of The Woodlands, Texas, Heather Kennedy of Corinth, Tex. Summer
Shumate, James Shumate and Jonathan Shumate,of Spring, Texas Bill Stewart of
Boston, Mass. Cassandra Kennedy of Pearland, Texas, Jarrett Kennedy of
Pearland, Texas. Two great grandchildren, Jameson Spinks of Corinth, Texas,
and Connor Kennedy of The Woodlands, Texas. One sister Alice Crump of
Texarkana, Texas one brother W. H. Crump of Arlington, Texas. Funeral
services will be held Saturday at 11:00 A.M. in the Main Chapel of Forest
Park Lawndale Funeral Home. Interment to follow in Forest Park Lawndale
Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5:00 until 9:00
P.M. at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. In Lieu of Flowers , donations may
