Emilio "Doodie" Vidal Jr., 91, passed away Sunday, January 6, 2008. He was born in San Antonia on January 18, 1916 to Emilio Vidal Sr. and Rosa Perez. Emilio's passion was sports, his first love was baseball. He was a natural athlete and loved playing the game. Survived by his son, Bob Vidal an wife Julia; daughters, Dolores Brown and Rosalie Quarberg; grandchildren, Amy Bush and husband, Josh, Steve Vidal and wife, Joanne, Jason Brown and wife Robyn, Jeff Brown and wife Meredith, Rachel Putman and husband John, Rochelle Allen and husband Christopher; great grandchildren, Joseph, Barbie, Emily, Bobby, Kaitlyn, Reed, Jordan, Jackson, C.J., Peyton and Cooper; sister, Rosalie Flores; numerous other relatives and a host of friends. Family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday evening January 10, 2008 at SouthPark Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, January 11, 2008 in the Chapel of SouthPark Funeral Home with Rev. James Clark officiating. Interment will follow at SouthPark Cemetery.
