ALVIN DOANE DEAR passed away on Thursday, January 20, 2005 in Houston, Texas. He was born December 1, 1915 to Albert and Eva Dear. Mr. Dear was a longtime and faithful employee of Sam White Oldsmobile retiring at the age of 78, after 40 years of service. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Estelle Dear in October. Mr. Dear is survived by his sons, Ronald Dear and Christopher A. Dear and wife, Theresa; and his nephew, Norman Herrick and wife, Mary and their children Christopher and Kenneth. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 23, 2005 at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery, 12800 Westheimer, with Rev. M. Eugene Vickrey officiating.
