My 40 Years of Highlights

Attended business school for about 9 months after high school and

then moved to Detroit, Michigan to get married.  I had dated Sonny

(Sterling) Bartlowe in high school and he had moved back to Michigan - so

obviously I followed!   We lived there for three years and after being told

many times that I would never succeed in Detroit unless I got the South out

of my walk and my talk we decided it was time to return to Houston.  Sonny

and I stayed married for 18 years, and I have been single ever since.  Our

one child (son) lives in Oklahoma City.

I have had many professions throughout the years, including banking,

legal and now work for a large pipeline company as a contract administrator

in our CO2 division.  I have always loved to decorate (although I never did

this professionally) whether it be my house, myself, my yard or anything

else.  Throughout the years I have been fortunate enough to build many new

houses and love this because I get to decorate all over again.  I have a

small gift basket business (gourmet foods) that I do part time that allows

me the creativity that I do not have in my regular job.

I love plants and the outdoors and spend many hours in my yard.  In

the years when I was married we lived on acreage and raised quarter horses.

Now all I raise is my cat!

All in all, I guess I have lived a pretty normal life.  I hope to

see everyone at the reunion.
