I was born at St. Joseph Hospital, 9/15/43, and my Mom
received a free
ambulance ride home because my twin and I weighed so much (each over 8 lb.).
As with all of us there have been many experiences in this incredible journey
called life.
My first job was at Woolworth's selling fruit at Christmastime for people to
make fruitcakes. I did not know how to measure the fruit, so I guessed
and
people were coming back lining up for more. The manager wanted me to stay
full time. Little did he know that I was almost giving the fruit away!
Do you think this paved my way into a long-time sales career? I may not have
increased revenue for the communication company, but I sure increased its'
customer base! Ha!
Reminiscing about the past makes me realize how precious now is. We all
are
making memories right now.
When I was young I wanted to be a missionary and teacher, and do something
athletic. It is amazing how God has brought those things into my life. In the
past few years, I substitute with special Ed adaptive PE and am involved in
"Missionary work" here serving my best friend, Jesus. I also won the
gold medal two years in a row for------------------------two mile walk, Senior
Olympics. Ha!
I have 4 children (3 from a prior marriage, 39,37,36 and one from present
marriage, 26) and
4 grandchildren, of which my oldest is 17. I bet no one can beat having a
grandchild this old.
I am in a season of my life of great fun and joy.
The one great reality I have learned above all else is "Jesus loves me,
this I know, for the bible tell me so."
