Subject: Update
Just a note
to get you my new e-mail address and let you know the latest happenings with
me.
In October,
I was among 59 salaried people permanently laid off from Trane. Though
I'm not retirement age yet, it has truly been a "blessing in
disguise". We had to re-think our financial plans, but with
God's help, we have it all worked out, and I am calling it retirement!
We had
bought a beautiful large house with a pool, about a year earlier, and are going
to be able to keep it. So, I've been busy working in the yard, doing a
little volunteer work, taking a Bible Class, and in general, enjoying the
dickens out of life. I started working after school at Danburg's, when I
was 15, and now is the first time I haven't worked since then.
Glenda, I
can't remember if I e-mailed you after the reunion or not, and I no longer have
access to my Trane e-mails, but I want you to know the reunion was great.
You and your helpers did an excellent job. Although the people I knew
best in High School weren't there, and I'm sure most the people there didn't
remember me, it was great seeing everyone. Lots of good people came from
the class of '61, and it really was nice to see everyone after 40 years.
Let me know
of any updates, etc. I enjoy all the correspondence. Thanks again
for your efforts.
Louise
