Anaglyphic 3d is probably the style you are most familar with. It is the process of displaying three dimensional images by drawing two normal images, each of which is meant to be viewed by only one eye. Your brain brings the two seperate images together into one three dimensional image.
The most common way to achieve this effect is through red/cyan glasses. The eye with the red filter sees only the cyan image and the eye with the cyan filter sees only the red image. These glasses are readily availble at a toy store or cereal box near you.
