About CCNC Foundation

The Conservation Council of North Carolina Foundation, CCNC’s sister organization, is a charitable, educational organization working on behalf of North Carolinians and our environment. (Under the IRS code, CCNC Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.)

What We Do:

• Educate citizens on clean air issues, environmental enforcement, clean water, and other critical environmental issues.
  
• Sponsor projects to help environmental organizations communicate with their members.
  
• Organize and educate citizen volunteers to participate in the decision-making arena.
  
• Sponsor environmental polling.
  
• Watchdog our environmental enforcement agencies, and advocate for stronger environmental rules at our state agencies.

Vision/Mission

CCNC Foundation’s mission is to restore, enhance, and protect North Carolina’s environment. We do this by:

• Educating the public on environmental issues.
  
• Motivating the public to participate in the democratic process.
  
• Providing environmental groups with tools to better communicate with and activate their members.
  
• Developing stronger networks among environmental groups.
  
• Working with the government to ensure environmentally sound rulemaking.

Supporting CCNCF

CCNC Foundation is working to raise awareness of key environmental issues, and improve our environment in North Carolina. But we can’t do it without you!

Contributions to CCNC Foundation are tax-deductible, but do not establish membership in CCNC.

Here’s how you can support CCNC Foundation:

• Direct Contribution to CCNC Foundation: Make a direct, tax deductible contribution to CCNC Foundation today! Use the form below to send a check directly to CCNC Foundation. (We are currently unable to receive tax-deductible credit card contributions to CCNC Foundation.)
  

• Workplace Giving through Earth Share of North Carolina: CCNC Foundation is a member of Earth Share NC (previously Environmental Federation of NC), and participates in a number of workplace giving campaigns throughout the state. At participating work places, individuals can designate their gift to Earth Share NC, or to CCNC Foundation directly. Your contribution is then deducted directly from your paycheck. Please check with your employer to see if your company participates in Earth Share NC, or call Earth Share NC at (919) 687-4840, to find out how your company can participate.
  
• CCNC Foundation Endowment Fund: CCNC Foundation has established an endowment fund to support our efforts in the future, and enhance the long-term financial health of CCNC Foundation. Please make checks payable
  
• Gifts of Stock: Did you do really well this year in the stock market? If so, you may face big capital gains taxes at tax time. By donating stock to a non-profit organization, you can reduce your tax burden. Giving a gift of stock is an easy, effective way to give to the environment, and provide much-needed funds to CCNC Foundation.
