As you can tell, we will be offering a wide variety of DDRC courses this year. Many of the changes are in response to the comments and recommendations of previous DDRC participants. We look forward to getting your feedback after attending! CEU's Info

More CAMP Info

Camp CAMP is located approximately 50 miles NW of San Antonio in Center Point, TX, on the Guadalupe River.
-
Campers and their counselors sleep in cabins. Usually the counselor/camper ratio is 1:1 and is maintained depending on the needs of the camper.
-
Professional Staff sleep in air conditioned staff cabins. Staff children will sleep at the Sioux (sibling) campsite or with their designated tribe, depending on their needs.
-
An 11 bed, well-equipped infirmary is available 24 hours to care for campers that are medically fragile, on designated weeks.
-
Each CAMP tribe follows an activity schedule which includes: swimming, canoeing, horseback riding, hiking, archery, crafts, petting zoo, music, outdoor cooking, and night activities. DDRC participants attend and assist with many of these activities.
-
Another great opportunity at CAMP is your ability to interact with and mentor many of our counselors. Our counselors, most ages 14-18, are volunteering their time and have an interest in the health care field. You will be amazed by their dedication!
DDRC Cost The DDRC course, including the CEU/CMEs, is free to those who volunteer as medical/professional staff for the week. However, there will be a $100/per person charge, to help offset the room and board expenses, except for military on active duty.
