CAMP,
or Children's Association for Maximum Potential, enables children
with disabilities to thrive in a recreational environment where
safety and nurturing are primary. CAMP is a private, nonprofit
agency that operates programs at a rustic camp setting in Center
Point, Texas (between Kerrville and Comfort). CAMP's administrative
office and other programs are housed in San Antonio. CAMP
was organized in 1979 and is accredited by the American Camp Association.
Funders include the United Way of San Antonio and Bexar County,
the Combined Federal Campaign, corporate donors, and many individual
Friends of CAMP. In addition to CAMP's fulltime professional
staff, CAMP offers seasonal paid and volunteer opportunities
for counselors and health professionals.

Camp
CAMP is a series of five-day summer camp sessions for children
with special needs who may not be eligible to attend other camps
due to the severity of their disability or medical condition.
We also include activities for campers' siblings without disabilities.
Camp CAMP is located in Center Point, Texas, along the Guadalupe
River. A well-equipped infirmary is available for 24-hour care.
Campers sleep in large, wheelchair-accessible, climate controlled
cabins, along with their counselors.
Respite Club:
These Programs provide rest for families through the Respite Weekend Camp,
Parents Night Out, and Teen and Adult Day Adventure activities.
