22 November '09 Occupations of Our Ancestors Ancestral occupations give clues to who our ancestors were, how they lived, where they lived, and give them identity, individuality and personality.  We will explore the various resources available to add another dimension to your genealogical research such as; census records, directories, church records, ship manifests, local histories, newspapers, vital records, wills, and land records.  There is much we can discover about our families from their occupations.  Allow them to live again in your family histories so that future generations can come to understand their heritage.
