ALUMNI FACULTY
Line

Lafayette is fortunate to have a number of its own alumni teaching within its halls. What better life lesson for LHS students than to see LHS grads as productive members of society.

Susan Sacco Maggiore

Susan Sacco Maggiore, 1960 English
Lafayette was fortunate to have Mrs. Maggiore for her entire teaching career, from which she retired in January 1999, after 30+ years of service. During her time here, she was advisor to the Lafayette Triangle newspaper, inspiring many students to persue journalism.

Renate Buechier Yuhnke

Renate Buechler Yuhnke, 1966 Social Studies
When she was a student at LHS, Mrs. Yuhnke was a member of the school's Future Teachers of America club, and is today one of our cherished teachers of freshmen, helping them to make the transition from grammar school children to high school young adults.

Karl Maggiore

Karl Maggiore, 1976  Phys Ed
Mr. Maggiore has been Lafayette's football and basketball coach for a number of years, after having played on Lafayette's sports teams when he was a student. The LHS gymnasium has a fresh coat of paint and a new look thanks largely to Mr. Maggiore, who did a lot of the work himself.
