Make Your Own Christian Tract!
Wanted: Christians--who are willing to give their gift to the Lord.
The need for good Christian tracts is vital. We need tracts that can reach the people of today--the people who are in your own neighborhood and town. We need tracts that will fit the needs of the lost and unsaved of this generation. The Lord needs the words and pictures which you have inside of you, to reach others with the Gospel.
This is your place to write and draw your own tract--for the purposes which the Lord has given you. Can you write in a special language? Can you speak to people who speak like you? What about your testimony--your experiences--your ways of witnessing. There are so many of you who are wondeful witnesses for the Lord--have you ever thought about writing down the words that you have used to lead people to Christ--in order to benefit others?
The body of Christ suffers from a very narrow defintion of "ministry". We suffer from hundreds of years of tradition which tell us that ministry only comes from pulpit on Sunday mornings, and that serving God is only for the special few who are qualified and educated. But if you dared to read the Bible you would find that minsitry is simply serving others, and NOT ruling. The Bible tells us that we are all called, all gifted, all anointed, all have a priesthood to live out, and we are all meant to serve (minister) our Lord.
Are you sure that you are not "qualified" to write a tract? Have not had "ministry training"--not been to seminary--or Bible school. Well, the apostles that Jesus choose were specifically not trained teachers, they were the most common of people, and in fact the Bible tells us......
"Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled;.......". (Acts 4:13 KJV).
Peter and John were not the smartest, or most well trained of men! They simply had the faith to believe that God could operate through them. They simply were following after the example that Jesus had set for them. And they are the people in the Bible who are our example--we ought to look more carefully at what the word of God tells us about ministry and what it is. We ought to get free of wrong tradition--so that God can fully operate His will through every member of the Body.
Read the story of the demoniac of the Gadarenes in Mark chapter 5. This man was severely oppressed of the devil! Yet he simply meets Jesus, and is delivered immediatley, But at the end of the story, the Bible tells us.....
"And he departed, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him: and all men did marvel." (Mark 5:20, KJV).
This man went out and immediatley began to "publish" the Good News (to "Decapolis"--meaning ten cities!). The word publish is elsewhere translated as "preach"--it means "to proclaim a message by whatever means possible". This certainly includes writing and drawing, as well as speaking, and once again, an untrained man is released to serve God and proclaim the message that Jesus saves.
The bible message about ministry is simple. You've received
Christ--what
are you waiting for--?--Go tell other people!!!
Below we have links to free downloads of tract formats. It's really very simple. Here is an example of what the page will look like.....

<>If you can't get the download to work, it's really very simple to copy this layout (or maybe you can think of a better one---do it!). The tract will be printed on 2 sides of a single 8 1/2" x 11" piece of paper. Why? because this is a format which can be easily duplicated on a copying machine--or in your computer printer. This makes it easy to make hundreds or thousands of copies very inexpensively. You are making 3 tracts per page. They can be all one of the same, or 3 different ones on each piece of paper. (With 3 tracts per page copying costs go way down--we have fit as many as 6 tracts on one page--to make tracts that cost less than a penny a piece). The page is folded into sections (there are a number of ways to do it--like an accordion--or whatever--just so the first page comes up on top) and cut where it says "cut here" to make 3 tracts per page.>
You need to work in a "draw" application, or some type of
word processing application which allows you to insert bits of type and
graphics into the dividing lines. One application that works well is
"Quickstart Desktop Publishing Pro"--it's available very inexpensively
at PlanetCDrom.com. If you
have trouble--or can't get it
to work--send us an e-mail, we love to help our fellow believers make
tracts! In fact, if you send
us the words and pictures, we will format your tracts for you
completely free of charge of course--we do not solicit or accept
donations of any kind (and been doing ministry just fine for
over 15 years!).

Well, now that you made your tract, what are you going to do with
it?
Pray and ask the Lord! Maybe you are writing tracts for your own use.
Maybe
you can create something that will be of use for evangelism teams in
your
church or community. If you want to give your tract away for free, we
would
be glad to add your tract in with ours at this website, so that others
can utilize it. We have given away over 50 million tracts in the last
15
years. At the very begining, other people began to send us their
tracts,
and we have been blessed to give them their own web pages with their
tracts
and Bible studies. (Yes we are also interested in those Bible studies
you've
been writing on your computer. We would be glad to give you a free web
page and publish them for you--as long as you are willing to give away
what you have been given freely!).

We pray in the name of Jesus, that you will be fully released into the gift and calling which He has given you, and that many will come to know our w onderful Savior Jesus through your ministry.
