 Vernon J. Geberth's Practical Homicide
Investigation Course was adopted by the Texas Rangers. In exclusive
presentations at Texas DPS Headquarters in Austin, Texas, the 3-Day
Practical Homicide Investigation course was provided in March,
2000. The 5-Day Advanced PHI course was provided in March,
2001. All 108 sworn Texas Rangers were in
attendence. Cmdr. Geberth is one of only a few persons to have the
privilege of having his picture taken with the entire group.

accepts An Award Certificate from City of Chicago, Chief of Detectives Philip
J. Cline. In an unprecedented training first PRACTICAL HOMICIDE
INVESTIGATION was contracted for presentation exclusively to the City of
Chicago Detectives. The award reads, "In grateful appreciation for your
service to the members of the Chicago Police Department Detective
Division."

2003: The Class was provided with
a number of "leads" and interview statements along with the forensic evidence
results and is asked to evaluate the case. Ironically, it's a defense case
in
which the wrong man was charged. The class has to name the real killer or
killers and provide the actual motive.
