Ahmadinejad: There Are No Gays in Iran……….. opps he left something out http://www.come.to/humanrights (click twice on the site to see photos)This is a sick joke,”  Scott Long of Human Rights Watch said. “Iran tortures gays under a penal code that punishes homosexuality between men with the death penalty.

What does this have to do with yoga asks one woman?  “As a yogini, I am living a lifestyle based on yogic principles from sacred yogic text, I find it is my duty as a student and teacher to support human rights, plant life and animal rights.  More importantly to ring the bell loudly when injustice occurs, so you may stop think, study and grow in a positive way.” Another student asked, what is your belief, turn the other check or defend yourself?  I do not believe in black in white answers.  I prefer to investigate a non violent resolution  and I believe firmly that we must be creative in our desire to dialog and uphold the law no matter how long it takes.   It is through communication that we make progress even with the worst enemy, we must offer and be willing to sit and dialog, even if what we hear sounds ludicrous, we are both learning by this act of communication.

Let us examine all areas of each issue and see everyone as a potential friend, lets carry a torch of goodness, understanding, forgiveness and integrity.  I am thankful to the men and woman who stand for freedom in the military because they protect us, I cannot reconcile the violence used to protect us.  BUT It is high time we find another stance,  group leaders who do not flex their muscles and military power but use their uncanny ability to communicate for conflict resolution by finding out why and how each event has occurred, that is my idea of a modern statesmen,  people like Mahatma Ghandi or Dr. Martin Luther King.  I have enclosed Mr. Ahmadinejds statement and a link you MUST see.  I personally consider myself heterosexual but I have had amazing friends in my life whom are gay and I will support them because I have loved them.   As always open dialog is welcome, your ideas and thoughts are highly valued.

When Asked about executions of gays in Iran, Ahmadinejad said the judiciary system executed violent criminals and high-level drug dealers, comparing them to microbes eliminated through medical treatment. Pressed specifically about punishment of gays, he said: ”In Iran we don’t have homosexuals like in your country.”  With the audience laughing derisively, he continued: ”In Iran we do not have this phenomenon. I don’t know who’s told you that we have this.”  My friend showed me this site and he has been a part of it since its inception in the 80s, he is an ayervedic teacher and homosexual.  The link to this site is graphic but important to see.  http://www.come.to/humanrights
