Hello to all of you `Healey Owners' that enjoy the cars that Geoff helped create. Whether you own a Silverstone, Nash Healey, Austin Healey, Jensen Healey or Spridget you have enjoyed driving a car that was in large part engineered by Geoff.

You now have the opportunity to express your thanks by contributing to a Memorial for him here in the U.S.

I am sure that many of you know of know of Margot, his wife. [she was an interperter with Cook's travel Agency and was engaged by the Healey Team to interpret at the first Mille Milga entered in Italy. She has ridden in every prototype Healey.] Anyway she was approached with the thought that many Healey owners would like to donate to a Memorial along the lines of the one in the Big Basin Redwoods for Donald. She said that such a Memorial would be much more fitting if it were in the Sate of Oregon and it should somehow express his love of the water and fishing of all types.

Fishing was his pastime. He spent many hours plying that love with Roger Menadue in Falmouth harbour in his boat HK901. [HK901 is a boat he built, taking the cues from the Oregon Dories. He reported that he had painted the hull with Stealth Bomber paint so the fish could not see it. He launched it in his swimming pool with Margot christening it at Christmas time, 1990] In Oregon, he fished at many places, caught his limit of Salmon and Sturgeon too.

A Memorial Fund has been established, monies are coming in and the search for an appropriate type and location of the Memorial is intensely being pursued with the Dept. of Parks and Recreation, the Dept. of Fish and Wildlife and the Oregon Paralyzed Veterans of America. There are several possible alternatives.

The important aspect is that the Memorial MUST be established for a dedication in mid-August, 1996. Margot and her daughters are coming as Special Guests to the West Coast Meet, in Canada, and then attend the dedication. The Meet is Aug. 5-9 and the dedication is being planned for the 17th.

This Memorial is not being sponsored by `any Healey Club' though many Clubs are donating. It is being put together by Friends of Geoff and appreciative owners of the cars.

Please make your contribution to this Memorial and come to the dedication or come to visit the site at a later date. The contributions are to be made to the: GEOFFREY C. HEALEY MEMORIAL FUND. [ It is an interest bearing fund. Full accounting of he fund is available to any donor at any time.]

Any contribution will be recognized, no matter how small !!

• Contributing $50+ will be Memorative and you will receive a Commemorative Dash Plaque.
• Contributing $250+ will be Commemorative and you will receive the Dash Plaque and will have your name inscribed on the large Memorial plaque attached to the Memorial as a Commemorative Donor.
• Contributing $1,000+ will be Premier Commemorative and you will receive the Dash Plaque and a Walnut wall plaque with your name inscribed as a Premier Donor and your name will be inscribed on the Memorial Plaque as a Premier Contributor.
